The Industrial LinkedIn Sales Engine

A complete system for turning your LinkedIn profile into a meeting booking machine. It combines the 5 step framework, the 6 step money press loop and the weekly win plan. Built for manufacturing, technical services and hardtech startups. No hacks, no automation spam.

01

Position: turn your profile into a landing page

  • Industrial buyers check you out before they reply. Your profile must pass the 5 second test: who do you help, with what, and what result?
  • Headline: skip the job title. Write the outcome. For example, “Helping technical manufacturers turn LinkedIn into a pipeline of qualified meetings”.
  • Banner: state your offer in one line, with proof (numbers, industries, logos).
  • About section: write it for the plant manager, the technical director and the procurement lead. Address their problems in their language and end with a clear call to book a call.
  • Featured section: pin one case story and one direct link to your calendar.
02

Audience: map the buying committee

  • Industrial deals are rarely closed by one person. Map the whole committee: the technical evaluator, the budget owner, the operator who lives with the problem, and procurement.
  • Build a named target list of 200 to 500 accounts using LinkedIn Sales Navigator. Filter by industry, headcount, geography and function.
  • Save 3 to 5 relevant people per account. Follow them before you connect because familiarity raises acceptance rates.
  • Track trigger events: new hires, expansions, funding rounds, trade fairs. These are your opening lines.
03

Content: stay on the shortlist

  • You do not need to go viral. You need the 500 right people to see you consistently. Post 2 to 3 times a week with a simple rotation:
  • Proof: a result, a case story, a before/after from a real project. Numbers beat adjectives.
  • Insight: something you know from the factory floor or the field that your buyers don't read in brochures. Teach one thing per post.
  • Story: a lesson learned the hard way. In technical industries, credibility comes from scars, not slogans.
  • Offer: every fourth or fifth post, make a direct and simple ask. Offer a call, an audit or a walkthrough of their current setup.
04

Conversations: start real dialogues, not pitches

  • Connection request: short, specific, no pitch. Reference their plant, product line or a post they wrote.
  • First message after connecting: give something useful, such as a benchmark, a checklist or a relevant case. Ask one easy question about their current setup.
  • Follow up 2 to 3 times with new value each time. Most meetings in industrial sales are booked between touch 3 and 7.
  • Never send a brochure in message one. The goal of the conversation is a 30 minute call, not a quote.
05

Convert: book, run and measure

  • Make booking frictionless: a direct calendar link in your profile, your posts and your messages.
  • Run the first call as a diagnosis, not a demo: their process, their bottleneck, their cost of doing nothing.
  • Measure weekly: connection acceptances, replies, meetings booked, pipeline created. What gets measured gets scaled.
  • Review every 90 days: which industries respond, which messages convert, which posts start conversations. Double down on what works.

The money press

Six steps from an empty calendar to signed industrial orders

This is the exact loop behind 100M+ DKK in pipeline and a 7M DKK order. Run it week after week, not just once.

  1. 01

    Find the companies

Identify the target accounts inside your segment. Focus on the plants, suppliers and OEMs that actually buy what you build.

  2. 02

    Find the decision makers

Map the key people and internal influencers: technical evaluator, budget owner, operator and procurement.

  3. 03

    Connect and write

Send personal messages that lead with value. Skip the pitch decks and fake synergies. Give them one specific reason you are worth two minutes.

  4. 04

    Publish content

Weekly insights, technical cases and hard won lessons that keep you on the shortlist between conversations.

  5. 05

    Follow up systematically

Plan every follow up in a CRM. Industrial deals close between touch three and seven, so nobody gets forgotten.

  6. 06

    Share the knowledge

Offer exclusive know-how and resources to your network so buyers come back to you before they run a tender.

The message that gets you blocked

"Hi [Name]! I just saw your profile and we have so many synergies! I'm an expert in AI optimised B2B sales processes and can help you scale revenue by 300% in 60 days with no risk. Shall we take a non binding 15 minute coffee meeting? My calendar is attached!"

Answer: no thanks. Mindset comes before tactics. You are talking to engineers and plant managers, not a lead list.

The weekly win plan

  • Optimise the profile: clear and customer focused, not a CV
  • Content consistency: post at least twice a week
  • Connect and message: write to decision makers every week
  • Comment: show who you are and leave politics out
  • Use a system: CRM discipline so no lead is forgotten
